Insurance Coverage

Will my sessions be covered by my insurance provider?

As a Counselling Therapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor, not all insurance companies may cover my services. Coverage also depends on your specific policy. To avoid any surprises, I encourage you to check your policy or contact your insurance provider to confirm whether counselling services under my designations are reimbursable before your first session.

If your policy does not cover my services, sessions would be a personal expense. I’d be happy to discuss how we can schedule appointments in a way that respects your financial situation while supporting your therapy progress.

This list contains some of the insurance companies that may reimburse counselling for Counselling Therapists and Canadian Certified Counsellors:

  • Alberta Blue Cross
  • Blue Cross*
  • Canada Life | Great-West Life
  • Chamber Benefits*
  • Desjardins
  • Equitable Life of Canada*
  • Great-West Life
  • Green Shield Canada
  • Johnston Group*
  • Manulife*
  • Medavie*
  • Pacific Blue Cross
  • Sun Life*
  • Telus Health - available soon*

* In addition, I am excited to share that these third-party insurance companies have approved Counselling Therapists registered with The Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA) who are in good standing for allowable services. Please note that not all plans will provide coverage of Counselling Therapy expenses.
