Last Saturday was our oldest son’s birthday, and we decided to try something new: ordering some of our groceries online from a local store and having them delivered. It was a first for us!

Saturday is usually our big shopping day, but with a snowstorm and a busy weekend ahead, we thought it was worth a try. The result? A small change with a big impact. Instead of spending hours running errands on Sunday, we only had a few things left on our list—saving us roughly two hours.

Two hours! It might not sound like much, but when your weekend is already packed, it makes a huge difference. And the best part? We didn’t have to sacrifice quality time with our family—just the stress of shopping.

Sometimes, self-care is about making life a little easier so you can focus on what truly matters. That small adjustment in our routine gave us more time to breathe, relax, and enjoy being together. And honestly, the delivery fee was well worth it for the gift of extra time with loved ones.
