I captured a stunning sunset over the weekend — the kind that stops you mid-step. The sky shifted from soft gold to deep rose to quiet violet, and for a moment, everything felt still. Watching it unfold, I was reminded how natural change really is — and how, even in its uncertainty, it can hold so much beauty.
Change often asks us to linger in the in-between — that space between what was and what’s yet to come. It’s rarely comfortable. There can be grief for what we’re leaving behind and uncertainty about what lies ahead. But just like the colours of the sky, transition can carry both loss and quiet promise.
In therapy, I often see how growth unfolds this way — gradually, in layers, and often in moments that don’t look like “progress” from the outside. Healing isn’t always about moving forward quickly; sometimes it’s about allowing ourselves to simply be where we are.
The sunset reminded me that transformation doesn’t rush. The sky doesn’t resist the fading light — it trusts the process, knowing that night and dawn will each have their turn.
If you’re navigating change — whether it’s a shift in your relationships, your work, or within yourself — know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Support can help you find steadiness in the in-between and reconnect with your own rhythm of becoming.
The beauty of becoming lies not in arriving, but in allowing.
